NHN 50 Series Door Closer

VERSATILE POWER ADSJUSTMENT

Three Position Shoe

All NHN 50 Series regular arm closers come with a shoe with three positions holes. The centerhole is to be used under normal conditions. If a decrease in power is desired, the rod assembly is placed in the hole farther from the main arm. For an increase in power, it is placed in the hole closest to the main arm. These adjustments will effect an increase or decrease in the power of at least 7.5%. The adjustment can be accomplished with out removing the closer shoe or arm.

DOOR MOUNTING

Change of Mounting Position on Door

Depending on how far you want the door to swing open, select the mounting position of the closer for an increase/decrease in power according to requirements, as shown in the diagram below. Basically, further the door closer is mounted away from the hinge the smaller the opening angle and the more force is needed to open the door. It is recommended that the closer be mounted to open at 180 degrees for standard installations.

BACK CHECK

NHN Series 1050 back-check closer prevents the door from striking against the wall or having a door suddenly wrenched open by excessive wind conditions. The Back-check function is adjustable.

Back Check Starts From an Angle of Approximately 70 to 85 degrees
